YouTube

Few days ago an article on BBC News talked about web experts calling for a code of conduct in the blogosphere.
This need is due to the bad experience that the female blogger Kathy Sierra had. She was the victim of death threats and photomontages in very poor taste in her blog.
This is not an isolate episode, in Italy, too, bad episodes of bullysm have become famous thanks to their online publications in websites such as YouTube, www.metello.com, http://scuolazoo.blogspot.com or http://www.padovarulez.com.
I think that websites like YouTube can be really nice and also useful because they give you the possibility of watching American or English TV programms and listening to colloquial English. They are an efficient tool in order to learn foreign languages but their use has to be clever and respectful. There are some limits that cannot be exceeded.

Dear Tania,

I agree with you. YouTube (and other tools, too) can be powerful resources in order to improve your language skills, especially the listening one.

Of course, we should remember that we are responsible for all the things in the Net...We Are The Machine!!!

Have a nice day,

Hey Shoun,
I appreciated your post and I agree with you when you say that people should be more respectful. We are getting used to everything but I still think that people should pay more attention to the sensitiveness of other people.

Dear Tania,
I like the post and the video you put as well. I agree with you when you say that people should be more respectful and use this tool in a more appropriate way. As we have written in many in our posts, the general idea is that Internet and its sources are really valid if used in a good way; things turn against us when we use the instruments we are given in a negative and inappropriate way, especially if hurting other people...

Hi Tania,

I argee with what you said: a clear regulation would be useful. However, as Internet is an International tool it will not be that easy to make everybody happy. Like you I think people who use Internet should do it in a respectful way.

See you,
Susanne
